JobStreet / Leading online job portal JobStreet continues to reshape the next level of recruitment as it lands in the city of smiles, Bacolod, to provide valuable support and opportunities for local hirers and jobseekers through its first-ever “JobStreet Caravan”.

The initiative seeks to bring more employers and jobseekers together as part of JobStreet’s commitment to boosting the labor market by going hyperlocal.

In line with this, JobStreet kicks off its on-ground caravan in Bacolod, one of the emerging top hubs for commerce in the country, with a week-long lineup of activities for both local employers and candidates from February 13 to 18. This is in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bacolod Local Government Unit (LGU), and Bacolod Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

“Many jobseekers have returned to their provinces or decided to reside outside Metro Manila even after the pandemic. This means we have more local quality talents that are looking for better career opportunities, so we’re here to help them make it even more possible,” shared Kim Viray, JobStreet Philippines Head of Marketing.

Through the JobStreet Caravan, applicants can join the Bacolod Career Fair, happening at SM Bacolod on February 18. With hundreds of jobs up for grabs, the activity will be joined by a total of 30 employers such as BDO, Concentrix, Negros Longlife, Teleperformance, Bounty Fresh, and more.

Top roles available in the career fair are Customer Service Representative, Administrative Assistant, Accounting Staff, and Sales Representative, among others.

JobStreet is also dedicated to assisting the future workforce in navigating the labor market as it tours various Bacolod schools and universities such as the University of St. La Salle Bacolod and La Consolacion College of Bacolod. Through the campus tour, students and aspiring professionals will learn relevant job-hunting tips and up-to-date career insights for the youth.

Likewise, local participating hirers will get to experience an exclusive meet and greet dinner with the representatives of JobStreet, highlighting the brand’s effort in empowering companies in the new normal.
