Protecting Your Deposits:  How does Banco De Oro keep its Online Banking Secure

Don’t compromise on the safety of your assets. Learn about Banco de Oro’s online banking platform and its advanced security features.

As a Banco de Oro (BDO) depositor, I am always concerned about the safety of my deposits. With increased incidents of fraud and hacking activities online, having a reliable and secure online banking system is very important.

BDO’s online banking system offers a multi-faceted security system that ensures the safety of my assets.

Authentication

One of BDO’s key systems is authentication, which ensures that only authorized users can access the BDO Online Banking system by verifying the user’s identity.

This is done using a username and password, which must be entered correctly to gain access to the account. This ensures that only authorized users can access an account.

I am required  to choose a strong password and to change it regularly to prevent unauthorized access to my account.

Network Security

Another important security measure is network security, which involves using  a firewall to protect the bank’s Internet banking servers from unauthorized access. This prevents hackers from accessing my account information or making unauthorized transactions.

A firewall is a combination of systems that put a boundary between the Internet and the banking network, blocking unwanted access.

Encryption

BDO also uses this data protection system to convert data into a format that cannot be read by anyone without the appropriate authorization.

Currently, BDO Internet Banking uses 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to secure all banking transactions. 128-bit encryption means that there are 2 ^ 128 – or 3.4 followed by 38 zeros – possible combinations that can access your account information, but only one works for each online banking session.

I am confident in knowing that my financial information is kept private and secure, and only I can view it.

Auto-Log Out

BDO adopts an automatic log-out feature, which logs users out of the system if it doesn’t detect user activity for a fixed number of minutes.

This feature protects my online account credentials  from being accessed by the next PC user, especially when using a public or shared computer.

Strong Password

The bank protects the strength of passwords by providing a counter on the screen that shows the strength of the chosen password. This helps ensure that users choose strong passwords that are difficult to guess or crack.

Regular System Updates

In addition, BDO also provides regular updates to its system to protect it from the latest threats. BDO’s security systems are regularly reviewed to identify vulnerabilities and ensure they are addressed promptly.

Final Thoughts

Protecting our savings in the digital age is critical. I feel confident using BDO’s online banking system to manage my finances. A multi-factor security system ensures that my assets are protected from unauthorized access and fraud.

I can sleep peacefully at night knowing that my deposit is safe.

With everything with the SVB bank (and a new glue and tap scam I read about the other day using atms) I’m certainly interested in how to keep my money secure! Auto log out is so important (that’s how the glue and tap scam- scammed everyone! Tapping made the atms not auto log out) so it’s wonderful that Banco de Oro has so many things in place to keep transactions safe!
